Hedge End Bowling Club

Thank you for visiting our website, hopefully it’s because you would like to know more about our club, either as someone who is new to bowls or as a more experienced bowler looking to join a local club. We are a friendly club, offering outdoor bowling from April to September then indoor short mat bowling through the winter with various social activities happening throughout the year.

Hedge End Bowls Club was founded in 1991 and is situated on Pavilion Road off Woodhouse Lane, Hedge End. We have six outdoor rinks available April to September and two short mat indoor rinks for the winter months. We have a roomy club house with kitchen and bar and offer regular social events which are always well attended. There is free car parking next to the club. We have teams in the local leagues, play several friendly matches throughout the year, along with internal club competitions and informal roll-ups.

Bowls is a fun, healthy and social sport that is accessible for all ages and abilities. The club can offer free coaching with a qualified coach and can provide bowls to use for trial sessions; all you will need to have is a pair of flat soled shoes or trainers (no heels). Dress is smart casual with collared tops (no jeans).
