Hedge End Bowling Club

Improve your game with coaching

Improve your game with coaching

Introduction – At our club, we’re proud to have four skilled and passionate coaches ready to offer free guidance, advice, and tailored coaching to bowlers of all levels, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills.

Coaching Options – Our coaches play a vital role in helping new bowlers learn the fundamentals of this fantastic sport and the correct approach to delivering bowls. Many of our experienced players also take advantage of coaching sessions to improve their technique. From time to time, our coaches host voluntary sessions focused on key aspects of bowling etiquette, offering players a chance to fine-tune their game in a relaxed setting.

Formats & Timing – Coaching sessions are typically conducted with two or more players, but if you prefer personalized, one-on-one coaching, that can be easily arranged. Coaches’ contact details are provided when you join the club, and sessions are scheduled to accommodate both the coach and the player’s availability.

Testimonials

I have been bowling since 2022. Having never bowled before, I found it invaluable to have the support of the coaches on how to deliver a bowl correctly, along with understanding the rules and etiquette surrounding the game. Last year, I attended a group event on ‘reading the head’, which was very useful. I have also taken advantage of the coaching on offer to improve and refine my game. I would definitely recommend a session with any of our coaches, whether you are a beginner or looking to improve and refine your game.
